​Welcome to my blog, I'm glad you're here! I'm a Connecticut native who left America and have been living in Shanghai, China for the past 9 years. Growing up, I've been influenced by many cultures (my mom is from the Philippines and my dad is half-Japanese and Czech mix). This sounds cliché and possibly like every other travel blog you've read, but after 2 years in my insurance job post-university, I knew there was more to life than working M-F 8-5 with a combined 2 hour daily commute. Living and working abroad has been the BEST decision of my life.

I met my husband in my first year in Shanghai. He's from the UK (half-Brit and half-Kiwi). We got engaged on a beach in Langkawi, Malaysia in 2019. And got Zoom married in 2021 (because, COVID). Now, we're planning our destination wedding celebration in Thailand! We also have 2 fur babies named Nemo and Nora.
